Celebrating 30 Years in Our Community

Timeline of Hope and Healing

Take a stroll down memory lane. These images capture some of the key milestones in Mourning Hope's founding and growth over the last 30 years in service to Nebraska children, adults and families experiencing grief.

30th Anniversary Mosaic Quilt Mural

To celebrate 30 years of service, we have expanded the Mosaic Quilt Mural on display in Mourning Hope's Community Room. Thank you to those who purchased a permanent metal quilt tile to honor someone special and demonstrate your support for those who grieve in our community.

30 Years of Impact

Mourning Hope is stronger and reaching more people than ever before. Over the course of three decades, Mourning Hope has evolved significantly, transforming from a humble grassroots nonprofit into a dynamic pillar of the community. These numbers represent the impact of those 30 years of service.

30 Faces of Hope

As part of Mourning Hope's 30th anniversary, we are highlighting those who have been part of our history and continue guiding us into the future. 30 Faces of Hope is a tribute series where we honor 30 different perspectives from volunteers, past participants, community partners and more. New profiles will be added throughout the year. Follow along on our social media channels to see all 30 profiles as they are published.

Reunion and Memorial Bubble Launch

On Saturday, August 3, Mourning Hope hosted a special opportunity for past and present participants to reunite with a memorial bubble launch in Schroder Park as part of the "Party in the Park" community celebration. Individuals wrote messages on special paper that dissolved into bubble solution. The resulting bubbles sent those messages out into the universe.

It was a symbolic time of reconnecting with old friends, honoring and remembering significant persons and enjoying moments of fun with new friends.

30th Anniversary activities are funded in part by Union Bank & Trust. Philanthropic support for marketing and communications is provided by the New York Life Foundation.
