Children's Grief Awareness
Sesame Street:
Nebraska Public Television recently aired a program generating national awareness about grieving families. The program, hosted by Katie Couric, interviewed four grieving families - exploring concerns and obstacles faced by families after experiencing the death of a loved one. As part of this initiative, Mourning Hope has received 300 resource kits. Available in both English and Spanish, these kits each contain a DVD, informational packet on how to support grieving children and a children's book. If you would like one of these free resource kits, please contact us. These are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Resource Library
The Resource Library includes grief resources for both adults and youth covering a variety of topics, such as coping with grief, helping grieving children, coping with suicide, surviving after the death of a child and coping with serious illness.
